Presentation: Where do I start? An airline playbook for Offer Transformation

You’ve invested in a suite of engines that put you squarely in control of your airline’s offer: ancillaries, premium seats, fare brands, corporate bundles, dynamic pricing, off-PSS availability, custom-tailored connection points and more! What could be more exciting than considering the endless opportunities for you to grow revenue and delight your customers? So… why is it that you can’t sleep at night? Is offer transformation proving to be a bigger challenge than you expected? Are you unsure of where to start? If “yes,” then this FLX-Disrupt talk is for you! In this session, Jeff Mathew will walk the audience through an “offer transformation playbook” based on his very own experience at United Airlines and, most recently, as VP Solutions Strategy at Farelogix. The Race to Retailing: Insights from a Trailblazer

Airlines all over the world are investing in new retailing platforms to deliver contextual, personalized offers that will grow revenue per passenger and traveler loyalty. United Airlines has been at the forefront of merchandising and airline retailing for over a decade. By continuing to refine its technology stack and strategy, it is frontrunner that is achieving even spectacular results. Now, Hopper is continuing the AI-driven conversation beyond the initial flight purchase, helping users customize their trips in the days and months after they buy and before they travel, allowing them to personalize and perfect their travel experience.

Airline as A Digital Platform – The PSS Market Perspective

As “software eats the world,” airlines have come under increasing pressure to digitally transform all aspects of the business, including airline commerce. For some executives, the end game is the wholesale replacement or aggregation of airline IT systems into a single platform with easily consumed APIs designed for “plug and play” services. How is the PSS business adapting to changing market demands and what role will the traditional PSS play in this new future. Richard Clarke, T2RL shares his unique perspective in this session.

From Disruption to Digital Platform: The Ultimate Transformational Journey

Many industry commentators contend that disruption of airline commerce is imminent. As a result, smart airline executives need to embrace a customer-centric approach to stay ahead of the curve. The beginning of this journey is the end-to-end transformation of Offer Management and Order Delivery. The final destination is a digital platform for airline commerce. Learn more about the path to total transformation from Vice President IT, PSS & Customer Experience at flydubai, Mohammed Ahteshamuddin.

FLX-Talks: TAILORED OFFERS – HOW DO WE GET THERE?

Spawned by advancements in machine learning in our data age, pricing is undergoing fundamental change. The knock-on effect of the pricing revolution is the most substantial disruption in Revenue Management (RM) since 1975. Some industry players are working hard to harness new distribution to deliver tailored offers to individual customers. In 2030, customized offers will be commonplace – and the first movers stand to gain disproportionately. In this presentation, Alex will share McKinsey’s perspective on the convergence of commercial functions to serve a singular purpose: crafting the right offer. He will also share some of the methods other sectors are using to develop and distribute personalized offers for significant revenue gain.

New Gen RM, Dynamic Pricing and Data Science – how fast should we go?

Airlines were among the first companies to use dynamic inventory pricing, forecasting, and inventory management in the 1980s and 1990s, with considerable success. Times have moved on, and now there is a wealth of fresh opportunities for Revenue Management (RM) to consider. It is now possible to dynamically pricing the fare across any price point, whether the starting price begins with an ATPCO fare or is derived from RM systems. Also, many contend that data science initiatives, Artificial Intelligence (AI) / Machine Learning (ML) will play a vital role in the transformation of offer optimization and RM as we know it. How real is dynamic pricing? What does new generation RM look like and what are the immediate opportunities for RM leaders? Our panel of RM executives and dynamic pricing experts will tease out the topic in this session of FLX-Disrupt.
